Club communications have moved over to the WhatsApp application. If you are not yet included, please contact Jesse Julkunen (see contact info). You will receive up-to-date information on activities and have a great channel for staying in touch with fellow enthusiasts.
Feel free to post messages to the group, but we kindly ask that the content focuses primarily on our shared hobby (going out to fly, asking for help with the hobby, events, your own interesting projects, etc.). Long one-on-one conversations, sales ads, and similar posts can be shared in the separate "chatter group."
Additionally, all message content must remain appropriate—keeping in mind that we have youth members using the group.
Membership Fees for 2026
Adult membership fee: €30/year, junior: €15/year.
Adult field fee: €50/year, junior: €25/year.

Further Details and Clarifications on Fees:
1. Membership Fee

One adult membership fee also covers family members (children/grandchildren under 18 years old and/or spouse) if registered as association members.

The amount of the membership fee is determined at the official annual meeting.

Members of the Finnish Aeronautical Association (SIL) also pay the club's membership fee directly to the club's bank account.

Includes association membership, the right to participate in club events/activities, maintenance of the SIL16 license, and/or other member services.
2. Field Fee

The field fee is paid only by field users, granting permanent use of the club's flying fields (Kullo field and Mäntsälä EFMN) during the operational year.

Paying the field fee is voluntary for members, depending on whether they use the flying fields. For example, maintaining the SIL16 license does not require paying a field fee.

A member who does not pay the field fee can still participate in separate flying events organized by the club at the fields.

The fields can also be used for a single-use fee (so-called visitor fee) of €15/visit, which must be paid in advance to the club's account.
MOWING SHIFTS
Mowing the grass at our flying sites is carried out as a joint effort by club members. We hope all field users take an active part in maintaining the areas so that our flying conditions remain safe and in top shape throughout the season.
Shift Lists and Managers
Up-to-date lawn mowing schedules are posted directly at the field sites. Planning and coordination of the mowing shifts are handled by our airfield managers:

Please note: Training on how to operate the mower is mandatory before your first shift. Contact the airfield manager well in advance of your shift to arrange a brief orientation on equipment operation.
Swapping Shifts
If an assigned mowing shift does not fit your schedule, you can swap it flexibly:

Arrange a shift swap or replacement directly with another club member.

Inform the airfield manager of the change so the schedule stays up to date.

Member Tags for Model Aircraft and Drone Fields
New member tags for the model flying fields will be introduced starting April 26, 2026 (prior to this, the previous tag remains valid). New tags and field usage rights are strictly reserved for members who have paid both their membership and field fees.
